It's become a cliché in the automotive press to proceed Saab with the word 'troubled' recently. Yet the company's latest announcement does little to dispel the notion that all is not well in Trollhatten, as it has announced that it will not be featuring at September's Frankfurt auto show. The Swedish car manufacturer has had trouble paying suppliers in recent months, and it is thought that Saab will instead use the money allotted to Frankfurt in order to pay them.

This is BMW’s first video tease of its new PAS concept, which will be unveiled at the Geneva motor show on 3 March 2009. Unfortunately the video only features cartoon drawings and a narration that explains why BMW boffins think the PAS is a good idea. Worryingly, by the end of the video the PAS actually starts to make (a little) sense.
Renault Twin’Run takes on the Renault 5 Turbo and Clio V6
It’s only a couple of days since the Renault Twin’Run Concept sprang in to life, complete with V6 Turbo powering the back wheels and looking for all the world like a spiritual successor to mad Renault’s from times gone by – like the R5 Turbo and Clio V6. And it seems that’s a point Renault want to make very clear as they appear to be about to launch a short ‘Adventure’ film starring the Twin’Run, R5 and Clio out playing, just so we all know what the Twin’Run’s heritage is. But this is Renault – and they’re French, you know – so instead of recruiting a trio of boy racers to pilot the three hot hatches they’ve enlisted the skills of a trio of beautiful women.
